OK, I used SID 3 And splinter cell to softmod my xbox, but, then i sign on to halo 2 and it says i need an update, but when it goes back to the dash to update my xbox, i just get "Service assistance required" in a black screen, with the same thing in different languages, anyone know how to fix this?

you either hotswap the harddrive and restore the msdash ,

or buy a chip
