I am trying to back up a game so what I did is copied it to my x-box harddrive, then FTPed it to my computer. I used C-XBOX tools to creat an ISO which it did, but it is weird cause it looks like a rar file. And used Nero to burn the ISO. Am I missing a step here. Oh, My burner is only a DVD +R, not sure if that matters. I don't think it does cause I was able to copy a game that was already burnt using a +r and it works fine.
I realize I might get flamed as this is my first post but can someone give advise?

What program did you use to copy the disk to the HDD? DVD2XBOX I hope?
Yes DVD2XBOX to copy the disk to the xbox harddrive. Then I use CUTEFTP from my computer to take the folder off my XBOX harddrive.

That is odd. Curious as to what version of Nero you are using. The new 6.0 is a toughie. What is it that makes you think it looks like a rar file and not a standard iso? Are you using the Latest Version: 2.0.6 of C-XBOX? _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Not sure on the version of Nero. I am at work right now and will be home in about 2 hours.
But the file I am trying to make is the CATWOMAN game. But when I make the ISO file the ICON is that of a rar. Maybe this makes sence. I just spoke to a friend of mine on e-mail, he said that you have to burn it from the tool bar at the top. Does this make sence?

Now remember that the PC can't read xbox programs so it may be misidentifying it. I suspect that the top of toolbar comment simply refers to the little flame icon that Nero uses to tell it to burn. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

I should be home in just over an hour. I recall there being an option in nero if you cancel out of a menu item that there is an option to burn an ISO from the file menu somewhere. I don't remember where it is located though. Be it File, Edit or Tools or something like that...

Your WinRAR might be configured to open ISO file. That would be the reason for the icon. I would use DVDdecrypter to burn the ISO. It's alot easier to use. _________________ Xenium Ice 2.3.1 OS

DVDDecrytpter is by far the easiest for burning ISO's

If you have winrar installed, it will always assign the rar icon to .iso files. I just got used to it. I figure I know what iso's I have so I dont confuse them with my actual .rar files.
You can assign an icon to iso files by right clicking on, and select OPEN WITH. They I think there may be a check mark that says, always use this program. Like if you want it to have a nero icon by it. I am sure there are other ways to not associate WinRar with your iso's, but I just have never bothered to check it out.
Another thing you may want to consider is possibly your media you are using. Can you burn DVD-R disks? If so, I'd even make sure to give that a shot. I have had a lot of issues with +R disks in my days modding.... I ONLY use DVD-R disks now... only if a customer requests a +R do I even bother to use them.

OK this is weird but it worked...
Sorry I did not get on line last night as my computer was very busy. So the advise that my friend e-mailed worked. So what I ended up having to do is when using Nero I had to use the Nero Burning ROM obviously and when I opened it up cancel any widows till I was just left with the blank Nero. Choose the Record option and from there choose the burn ISO. This did work.

New thing I just thought of though. Has anyone noticed that when sometimes when you put a game in that for the first little bit that the control stick wants to pull to the right. So holdign the controler and doing nothing the controler on the screen is pulling to the right. It corrects itself after a few minutes, has this happened before or does it sound like a hardware issue with the controler. I only have one controler.
