I have a question I want to restart my xbox when I switch disks. For example, when I open the disk drive to get out the disk that Iam playing it gives me "disk is dirty" and I need to power off my xbox then power it up againe in order to see the dashboard again. Is there a way of restarting the dashboard without powering it off. When I had the modchip I was able to do it by pressing L+Back+R+ and the black botton the one next to the white botton.

Do you mean the In Game Reset? Thats L+R+Black+White

what do you mean will this combination of buttons let me go back to my dashboard. without powering it off? I tried it but it will only restart the game. I want to go back to the dashboard so I can take off the game that I was playing and put another one whitout the xbox telling me "Disk is dirty". So that I can play other games whithout powering off the xbox.

there are 2 different modes of igr ,
1 reboots the bios and the dash ,
2 reboots just the dash ,
if you are playing a game from dvd and have the igr #1
and do a reset the dvd in the drive will start again without going into the dash ,
with the igr #2 if you reset while playing a game from dvd it will go back to a dashboard but you need to have the auto play options turned off so the game doesnt load by itself right after the dash .
when playing games from the harddrive both modes will take you to the dash after the reset , (unles there is a dvd in the drive )
the igr mode #2 does not work with all games ,
you can change which mode you want to use by editing the bios itself ,
you usually need to press L+R+Back+Black to reset , unles you have a different button config _________________ Xbox v1.0/1.1/1.5/1.6a
