I have a DuoX 2 modchip that I"m about to put in my xbox, but the AID manual says it can't be used with Cromwell, how do I get another BIOS on there?

pick a bios u want to use ,its got to be 512kb in size ,
rename it to bios.bin and burn it to a cd with some mp3 or whatever to take up some more space , then flash the chip from cd ,
you gonna have a cromwell menu when u boot the chip,
pick the right bios for your xbox version ,
-----------------------
you should be able to flash the chip through the network too ,
duox2 has 2 different banks , if u dont see the network flash option then change the bank and reboot it might be there ,
once connected to lan , just type in the ip of the xbox in internet eplorer and hit enter , it should connect to the chip and give you a flash option , then u just select the bios and ur done , _________________ Xbox v1.0/1.1/1.5/1.6a

I'll just ask it this way. I have a DuoX2 Cromwell edition modchip, what all do I need to do to get it up and running in my version 1.6b xbox( I also have an 80GB Seagate HD), that includes BIOS, what kinds of wires I need, and programs i guess

The EVOX M8 bios is a great bios and should work just fine with your DUOX..
The M8 bios comes in 2 types.
1 x M8 bios is for XBOX V1.0-v1.5 and
the other M8 bios if for XBOX v1.6 only..
Just make sure you use the correct bios..
Once you get your chip flashed either from CD or http (network) you can then burn AIdeluxe (http://www.aid.xbox-hq.com) to a DVD-R/CDRW and install 60+ apps, dashboards and emulators directly to your xbox hdd from the dvd-r/cdrw..

FH put it pretty good...I would suggest getting the M8+16 bios and aid 2.11 to start you off....good luck. _________________ Xbox V1.6

you are going to need to do some research on the developers site or in some tutorials section....personally on my xeniums i believe i use 24 and 30 gauge wire....24 on the norm stuff, 30 on the d0..but i could be wrong i just know it by the colors....later. _________________ Xbox V1.6
