I recently bought a new $20 wireless cotroller for xbox (not sure on the manufacturer) and it wouldn't work. My old controller (the old BIG one) worked until the wires became frazzled, and I know non-microsoft controllers work with my xbox because my favorite controller is "after-market."
But here's the thing, I bought a genuine microsoft controller from a pawn shop and it doesn't seem to work either (might be because it was broken to begin with), I am going to try it out later on a friend's xbox and see if it's my box or the controller. My question is this: has anyone run into any support issues for controllers or does anyone have an idea of why my "mad catz" will work and the others not, if in fact the controllers work on other xboxes?
thanks.

I have yet to get a wireless controller that works more than 20% of the time.

Also, the last one I got I had to actually use a regular controller when my Mod chip OS game up (Xenium Ice XOS) and then select the bios to launch.

Once the bios was launched and dashboard loaded I could then swap out the controllers and use the wireless controller to play. However, half the time it did things it wasn't supposed to do and then wouldn't do things it was supposed to do.

Anyone want to buy a wireless controller...lol.

I just got rid of that $20 model. I can't see spending nearly $40 for the logitech model because i'm cheap. I did figure out that the "pawn shop" deal that I thought I got wasn't working to begin with, so it was only the wireless issue that was my problem to begin with. I guess I should spend the money up front and not buy 2-3 cheap controllers when I could have paid the $ and not dealt with the BS. It's hard to get out of my own way sometimes.
By the way, there's not been one time that I've come to this site seeking some kind of info or instruction and not received it. I really appreciate everyone's attitude and helpful nature. V.I.P. status is clearly worth it. If you're thinking about supporting this site, do it. What you get back in ideas, answers and support are priceless.

I hate Wireless, (except for my logitech wingman cordless on the computer.

This stems back to the Old NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) .

They were black cases with blue fronts, and had 4 buttons, 1 regular A + B combo, and a rapid fire A + B combo. The buttons kept popping out, when the batteries would finally stay in. Needless to say, the were the crappiest aftermarket accesorie.

Since then I have hated wireless, I am only hoping 360 gets something right.
