Alright it won't read CD-RW's or CD-R's at all... so I looked and found this tutorial...

http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-166.html

I opened it up... and I'm even looking inside of it now. It says to look at the laser and tighten the screw on the pot that has the yellow arrow pointing at it.

.........

Anyone might enlightening me what the heck a "pot" is? lol... and I've been sitting here for like 20 mins staring inside of this thing I see no yellow arrow and yes I am sure it is a Phillips... any help here? Confused

Oh and BTW... don't flash sigs work here? I see HTML is enabled but my sig still don't seem to work? Surprised

Thx,
-Mac

well , u gonna need a multimeter to make the adjustment correctly ,

the pots are basically a potentiometers , you lower or increase the resistance till you get the desired voltage going through it .

just look for 2 tiny screws on the side of the laser unit , those will prabably be covered with some pink looking coat of ..whatever that you will need to scrape off to be able to make the adjustment
