Posted: Fri Jul 08, 2005 8:49 am Post subject: Need Help with Linux iso disc (Error after i boot cd on PC)
Hi
I just softmoded my xbox v1.1 and was looking to ugrade the hard drive. I checked a lockable xbox hard drive chart to see which ones that were compatible. I bought a Western Digital 80gig (model#wd800jb). I downloaded the Aid 2.0 deluxe and xboxhdm1.9. I tranfered my C: and E: drives and made backups. I used this tutorial (http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/203286)such as one that are on this forum. I also copied the epprom.bin and the linux folder. I created the .iso image disc with a cd-r and hooked my new Hdd up and changed the bios to boot cd. It loads the iso and i go to selections i pick 1 and it loads stuff and then tells me to type"XBOXHD" i type it and it configs but then gives me an error such as "Linux cd not found! Insert it and try again" I tried so many times and so desperate to do this.
I have also another xbox that is a 1.0 and im loking to softmod it with a new harddrive to. If any help please post me.

How is the same tutorial i used just different site work better. Could it be my iso making program. (UltraISO) i am downloading dvddecryptor if that could be the reason.

I used the tutorial but that was not my problem. I had my friends pc and i went to his house and tried to load the linux cd and it worked. I think it keep not wworking was bc my computer is customly built by me and it wasn't detecting the new hdd i was trying to build.
