Ok... i bought my xbox that is soft modded off ebay, so i dont happen to have the game that it was modded with. I did run into Mech Assault game save files, so im guessing that its the game that i would need to use to switch from Live Enabled to SoftModded... am i right?
If so, how exactly would i switch between MS Dash and Soft Mod?

Well, first off- your going to need to pick yourself up an Action Replay memory Card- and a copy of either Mech Assult, 007, or Splinter Cell- make sure they are NOT the platinum editions, try to find old copies of the games.
After that you will be able to Re-mod your xbox once you un-mod it for Xbox live. Right now the only way i know of playing xbox live on a ONCE modded xbox (softmod mind you) is to go through the C drive, and clean it out of the Evox files (Via FTP) and after your delete them IMMEDITLY FTP OVER THE ORIGNAL DASH TO YOUR XBOX!!!!! Dont turn it off, or anything- just do it.
You can leave anything on your E drive (such as Apps, Roms) beacuse Xbox live (to my knowledge) dosent scan the E drive.
