Hey,
I'm trying to install the SNES9X Emu. using Auto Installer Deluxe 2.0
It installs but how do i access it from my Evox dash? I can't seem to find it anywhere. I'm sure it's something simple, any advice?
Thanks,
JAB

hi jab,
It sounds like your evox dashboard isnt looking up properly.
Its easy fixed.
You need to ftp into your xbox and edit 'evox.ini' which i on the XBOX C drive.
Look for roughly this code:
Code:
AutoAddItem "e:\apps",
make sure if you have a upgraded hdd it has all drives using AutoAddItem.
Code:
AutoAddItem "e:\apps",
Code:
AutoAddItem "f:\apps",
Code:
AutoAddItem "g:\apps",
DO NOT COPY THIS CODE. IT IS JUST A EXAMPLE..
Once you edit your evox.ini it will lookup correctly fo ryou and add to the APPS MENU or whatever menu you want.
Sorry, i know people like me must be a pain in the ass But what do you meanby "edit" the evox.ini. file? Sorry again for the potentially dumb question.

ok..
You need to open the evox.ini say with NOTEPAD so you can view the text and information inside..
To edit i mean to open and change some lines of code inside the evox.ini
Its very simple and not much to it really.
Once you make changes to the evox.ini using notepad you just save it and then copy back over to your XBOX and reboot to test..
Always keep a backup of anything you are going to edit.
If you dont want to edit the evox.ini install your dashboard again using Auto Installer Deluxe 2 but this time make sure you select how large HDD you have.
If you have F & G drives on your xbox then you should choose to:
1. Install Dashboards
2. Install WHATEVER DASHBOARD with LARGER HDD.
Right on, thanks for all the help, FH. And by the way, the AID2.0 is a GREAT tool!!!! Much thanks to everyone who took the time to develope such a wonderful piece
Cheers,
JAB
