i wanted to remove the softmod menu from from xbox so i installed SID 3.0 and selected the option to install the softmod the xbox without the disc open tray menu, but it still open the mnu wen i leave the tray open. i've reformatted my xbox b4 cause i had an error and softmodded the xbox again without the disc open menu, but it still comes up wen i leave the tray open. can't figure it out, where would i change a setting somewhere or edit a file to stop this?
also if there is a way to fix this would it be possible to do with without using ftp cause i was gonna softmod my friends xbox and they don't have access to do a ftp.
Thanks very much if someone can help me with this
Cheers

the 1 gig dummy file is ok if you don't want to fill your DVD up with too many rams. The English DHCP patch is only needed if you want to use the DHCP Network, and the 2.02 update patch is needed to fix some softmod issues.
Hope that helps....

Thank you. I have question. I have to burn the AID 2.0 into a DVD-R, then install softmod from those games. Then, insert the AID DVD to set up the other soft eares ?

Hopefully it should, because there was some problems with the softmod installation in 2.0.

Did you apply the 2.02 update correctly, and did the DVD burn properly?
I just checked the files and my config for AID 2 and it's all fine from what I can see.

After I installed my softmodded 80GB, I used the AID2 2.02 DVD-R that I made to Format C. install PBL+MSDash, then installed UnleashX without eject button, and it worked fine for me. Both buttons power the system and take me straight to UnleashX, and ltools doesn't even come up unless I tell it to from the Apps menu.
As for the error, I didn't encounter any when I went to install. I'd have to concur with re-patching your AID2 ISO, and reburning the disc.

Oh ! I have the same problem. It made me crazy for a long time, but then I find out: WE see this message because we do not need this option. you CHoose the Install Dasboard option, not the one you chose because you are already install the software from the SID 3.0 when you load the game save . Then select install applications, install ALL. NOW tuen off. Then turn on with the DVD tray emty and close....... Enjoy.

ok i'm not quite sure wat you mean, do u mean that to install the dashboard you go to install dashboard in the main menu of AID instead of isntalling the dashboard from the softmod section? is that wat you mean?
