Howdy,

I can't open my controller-s. Screws are out, but it won't come apart.

My controller has an intermittent fault, where it drops all control until I wiggle the cable a bit. Sounds a lot like a dodgy connection, so I undid the 6 screws to open it, but the top and bottom won't come apart.

Its like there is something holding it from inside. It seems to be near the back, in the centre. The front will separate quite far, but the back is stopping it.
I've pulled it as hard as I dare, but it is stuck, and I don't want to pull too hard in case I break something.
All the info I can find on the web about disassembling controllers just says undo the 6 screws, and it should come apart.

Anyone know what might be stopping mine?
All help much appreciated.

Cheers, Alan.

Sadly, now that I have it apart, it doesn't look like there is anything wrong with the connection for the cable.
What happens is that every so often it seems to lose connection, usually if I move. If I wiggle the cable a bit, it comes back.

I don't see anything obviously blown, or loose inside the controller.
Any suggestions on what to look for?

Also, does the connection of the main cable onto the circuit board uplug?
It looks to be properly connected, but I wouldn't mind unplugging/replugging it if possible.

TIA, Alan.
