Ok, so I have the 007 installer for my xbox on my memory card, but now theres this auto installer thing. Now over in the SID forum, to make a flawless softmod installation you need to have AID, now I have aid but I don't have this ISO bull shit you need to use it, also, how the hell am I supposed to get AID on my xbox? Put it on a memory card or what?

well- you dont need AID persay, but it is a BIG Bounes- you can do everything through that Installer that pops up- Just be carefull not to do something stupid.

AID is best made into a disk.
grab a copy of c-xbox tool make it
into an iso if it isn't already one.

If you only want to do a softmod on a stock machine I wouldn't really worry about the disk. If you want to do hard drive upgrades and everything else then you should have the disk it will make life alot easier.
Stock xbox and you just want to do a softmod to play backups and emulators and whatever else then just follow the directions for the softmod package. _________________ Xbox v1.3

See, I want to get trainers on my xbox but I can't because for some reason FTPing through to my xbox isn't working.

i had alot of trouble getting my FTP up as well until i read thread on xbox scence which got it working perfectily. here it is:

First of all, make sure you have your evox.ini configured to this:
(leave dns blank). Burn the iso to a cdrw or whatever. hook up your xbox to your comp, then go to control panel, go to network settings, edit your local area connection (right click, properties), then click NIC's TCP/IP, then click Properties. Click on the bubble for "Use following ip adress" fill in the ip as: 192.168.0.1 Then for subnet mask put: 255.255.255.0 and leave the default gate blank. Then click okay, and close control panel or watever. Open up flashfxp or watever ftp client, then turn on your xbox and load the evox cd. go to settings and wait approx 10 seconds, and it will give you the ip adress you need to connect to. Next just type that in in your ftp client, username xbox password xbox, and viola.

Aus, that really really helped, but where do I found this evox file to burn to iso :S.?
I read a tutorial on EvoX and it talked about how you have to get a .rar file from the usual places, but see theres like 800 files in the usual places so if anyone knows the exact folder its in could they please post that also.

oh i see wat you mean, wen it says change the evox.ini file, it just means change the setting to that on your xbox. and ignore the part where it says burn the iso onto a cd

I completely understand, and before I knew how to do this, my softmodding would work without failure, its just I had no idea what to do, and just my luck. Now that I know what to do, I have an error when I go to patch the new version of ms dash...it says like apply bath error last item name.... I'll tell you guys later, I have to go to summer school now.
