Hi, I've just got a new xbox 1.6 and I sucessfully softmodded it.
THe problem is that the machine freezes from time to time, with the round button flashing yellow light.
This can happen during my game play from hark disk or from DVD.
I need to unplug the power cable to reset it. After a while, I can play again.
I just don't know what is the problem of this machine?
Could it be too hot? Or something to do with BIOS? I didn't upgrade BIOS or open the box. Or is it just normal for $M products to freeze?

Not normal.
When you say that you didn't put in a different bios, it leads me to believe that it might be part of the problem. There is another thread just below this one that just finished dealing with basically the very same issue and it was the bios selected.
