I have the run linux file that i got from here and need some help.
I have AR, downloaded the softmod installer delux v2.0. I open it with mech assult and it gives me black screen saying need techincal support and with a number 21 on the side. My xbox version is like 1.2 or some thing. can anyone help me.

ok, let me catch up with you.
So far you have-
Saved the Linux installer and Mech assult profiles to you xbox.
Ran the softmod installer,
did you also run an Dashboard (should say Evox)
please catch me up with this, i can help you out- also
where did you get the Download from, so i can know exactly how to assist you.

right?
as a guess:
It's either corrupt or it's not
the right one for your region.

Are you sure your Action Replay is working well ?
I got the samr problem too, after I install the softmod using AR, My screeen show up a message with many languages that I need some thing about service support ( Error 21)
It happen becaus of the AR memcard. It will damage your softmod file after I transfered it from the PC to the memcard. Have you ever tried retransfer back the MEMcard savefile to the PC, make sure the softmod.zip is working ?
If file softmod.zip cannot be opened, you m should wast more money by buying a MegaXkey.

Ok, I dun have any idea about it currently. Hower, I am waiting for the MegaXkey to retry it('cause the Action Replay doesn't work, it's memcard damage my savefile). WHen I am success softmod my xbox, I will tell you how i Do it. But you must notice that Action Replay not always work with hacked savefiles, you bettet use the Mega-X key, which available in www.link-sang.com
