Hi all, hope everyones having a good day because im really p;&&£d off.The thing is ive been trying to get my xbox online and im having absolutely no joy at all.I`ve read tutorials etc and followed them and still it wont connect! Here is how ive set it up:
Cable modem
2 network cards
Crossover cable from one network card to xbox
Ethernet cable from modem to other network card
Choosing the 2 network card option i set the xbox network settings to static and matched the static addresse in internet protocol tcp/ip properties.
On the other network card properties i turned on internet connection sharing, selected the other card to use connection and clicked ok but i must need to do somthing else cos i still cant connect .i can ftp and thats it.If anyone can help you`d me doning me a BIG favour cos am stressed on this network stuff. I say check the firewall and the workgroup first. Make sure it's got permissions and that the workgroups match exactly.
Networking is cool but it can be a real pain in the a$$.

So you've set the IP as static in the dashboard? What dash are you using by chance? _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Have you just connected them and tried, or have you set up a home network first? I had to setup a home network first, took 2 seconds. I had the same problems as you for a while. I used this guide and had no problems with it http://www.xbchelp.com/network/ HTH _________________ Q."Are you happily married"?

Cool deal Kingreef.
Thanks for the tip.
I'm sure slickmanuva will get online shortly.
I went the wireless route, and not being at home, I was trying to troubleshoot in my head what might be missing. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th
