I have been playing xbox live with
a xbox that has no (working) chip
now for about 4 months. instead of
flicking a switch I have to put my
exploit game in the drive and launch
linux, at that point my unleashx
dashboard is launched that i can
launch my games and apps from.
At this stage in a softmod you
would normaly be on the softmod
install screen, where you can
install dashes patches and whatnot.
I'm dying to know if at this point
i'm still using ms bios or what?
does the linux point the xbox at
a BFM bios?
can it be at all poss to be able to
edit somthing so i may eject the
disc without reset and without having
to install the softmod?
or can the dvd drive be modded to
stop this? or even the ata cable?
I know this may sound like a tall
order but me and 2 friends of mine
whom both use the same edited sid
are dying to know.
and i bet there are loads of people
out there who want the same thing.
I'm gonna play about some more
and see what i can find.

PBL Softmods uses a BFM BIOS on the HDD.
NKpatcher uses an in-built kernel and doesn't use a BIOS. However it still uses hacked fonts etc.
