Hi, I am having an issue with my XBOX. When I turn it on it I hear the hard drive and fan start up. How ever nothing comes up on the screen. When I push the button to open the cd tray it doesn't open. Each time I press the button I can hear a sound like the laser tring to move across to deteck if there is anything in it. Only after I press the button 5 or 6 time it will finally deteck if there is anything in it or not and open . Once it does this the XBOX logo will then come up and go to the dashboard.
Several have said it is a short. But if it was a short i would think it would be happening regulary on every once in awhile.
Anyone have any ideas?

Is this machine modded? If so how?
What chip, what bios... is the chip soldered or is it a solderless.
Let us get some more info so we can maybe help you.
