I installed my Xectuter3 chip into my v1.6b Xbox today. Everything is soldered in good, or atleast it seems it. But when I start the Xbox with the chip enabled, nothing happens. The screen is completely blank. The light on the logo is blue, as is the light entitled HD. The light on the modchip is red. Now the weird part. The light around the eject button lights up green when the Xbox is first turned on like normal, but after a short time it turns yellow. Again, nothing happens on the screen ever. It is completely blank. I can still use my Xbox with the chip disabled, but there's no fun in that.

Make sure you are using a standard AV pack. with the 1.6b also boot to 5678 banks, off on off off off. Flashbios 3.03 only works for 1.6b and 3.01 is only for 1.6, that may be your video difference.
See if that helps. _________________ XBOX v1.6

Ok, with just the 2nd dipswitch on, the blue screen comes up. But now the controller won't work when in here. I can't do anything once I get to the blue screen. But I know the controller works because I can turn the Xbox on with the chip disabled and the controller works fine.

Try using a original ms contoller. Some wireless controllers won't work. _________________ Xbox v1.3

And obviously, don't reflash, flashbios (very common mistake) you will just have the blue screen again.
Go to xbins if you haven't already and grab the x3 bios, 3294 is the latest stable build. Flash that, make sure it is a 1.6 compliant bios.
And, only MS official controllers will (usually) operate in the x3 environment. Aftermarkets are touch and go and vary, so it is whatever works for you. _________________ XBOX v1.6
