I have been wanting to update my xbox avalaunch dashboard but whenever i boot into my box with the internet connection, avalaunch does not pick up an IP but rather displays "0.0.0.0 Err X". I do not know what this means. I need some help. I have the Xmas v0.49.3 bios currently on i believe. Also the reason I am trying to update is because my copy of Forza will just not work on the current BIOS. I do not know if this is true or not.
Some one please help me out!!!

i backed up mine using unleash
& it works perfect.
do any of your other dashes get
an i.p.?

v0.49.3 is your ava version ,
updating the dashboard is most likely not gonna fix you game running problems ,
to connect to the internet change the connection type to dhcp in the xbox network settings ,
you will prabably need to reflash your bios to get the games to run ,

My xbox is a v1.6
Its been softmodded...
I also tried getting an IP in Evox, but it just doesnt work. I do not know how to bypass the avalaunch to load first, and iunstead get evox trunning first. Maybe that may be the problem of getting the IP.
let me know...
abd where exactly can i get a patch for forza.
PS- my xbox could connect to the internet a few days a go when it went through a wireless router, but a direct connection does not work....am confused!
