Originally you were having a HDD Timeout issue. Perhaps the drive is starting to fail when it heats up? Can you hear the drive spinning? I assume it's the original 8 gig drive that comes with the Xbox? _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

Its Actually a maxtor 120G i did hear it spinning but would that cause the xbox to freeze at the splash screen.I dont have the original HDD because the guy who did it for me kept it and he moved out.
If i reformat a new harddrive using another xbox can i just install it or do i need a chip? Would the chip work if i have the systems TSOP flashed with
evom8plus?

Not sure myself.
Damn near gave bad advice to another softmodder since I went the chip route. Let's ask the softmod experts.
Alright all you Bruce's and Sheila's, what do you think? _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th
