I have a softmod download from the codejunkies website for halo 2. Now how do I ftp the files to the pc? I have xbl so do I have to change my ip settings?

Hi,
You need to have a hacked dashboard install and not just the original M$ Dashboard with LIVE..
In other words you should have evox,unleashx or another hacked dashboard installed.. The hacked dashboard will give your xbox the abillity to FTP.. Without a hacked dashboard you cant ftp at all!
If you have the hacked dashboard already install all you have to do is give your XBOX a ip address on the same range as your computer.
eg. If you PC has ip address: 192.168.0.1 and subnet of 255.255.255.0 then you would give your XBOX a ip address of say: 192.168.0.2 and subnet the same.
then you could ftp to and from your xbox using FLASHFXP (http://www.flashfxp.com)

ok, i now have the unleashx dash for linux, so all i do is change the ip address on my xbox, right?

Yes.. Once you have setup your xbox with a ip address in the same range as your PC you will be able to ftp.
UnleashX will work great!
If you are on a windows box get your ip address info from your computer like this:
1. Choose Start Menu
2. Choose Run
3. Type 'cmd' and then press enter
4. Type 'ipconfig /all' and then enter
5. It will display all your PC ip informaiton.
