Greetings. Here is a question that I have not seen asked yet, and if it has, I apologize. I have put in a 120Gig HD and was wondering if they ever need to be defragged, and if so, how would you go about doing it? I am using Evox, and unLeash as operating systems. Both mod chips that I have done are the XChip and the XChip lite ones. Rolling Eyes
TIA for the help
Regards

Yes, this has been a topic that has been brought up from time to time. Realistically, there is no way to defrag the HD.

In all honesty, I am not really sure on whether performance suffers because of this or not. Maybe someone who does a lot of adding files and deleting files may notice it more. I have a few machines with lareg HDs (400GB, 250GB, and 200GB sizes) So far, I have just been adding files and not needing space so i am not deleting anything.

Thanks ModGod. I appreciate your response. What you said was what I was thinking. However, it is always good to get other opinions on these matters.
