OK...so i bought the new xeniume S.P.ICE Modchip & Solderless adapter. This is supposed to make it compatible with ALL XBOX versions including 1.6&1.6b. Well I installed the adapter ny the book (until all the LED's lit up. Then I plugged the Chip into the top of it and powered it on, just as the instructiond hed told me to do.....Well now it will power up for about 2 secs then power down. it will do this twice then power up completely but i get no picture on-screen. What do I do to get this to work?????

Check your connections again, I Used the sodderless adapter, and the DO wire would pop out and my box would power up for 2sec, the power off. So just check the connections, I hope this works for you. _________________ XBOX 1.6

The D0 connection most likely would not cause a power up/down cycle then frag. Typically, when the D0 has a bad connection your Xbox will just boot up like a normal xbox. When you get the power cycle/frag it's typically connection related (in regard to the LPC) or bios not found related. Since, you are not even getting to load a bios, then we cant assume it's that. So, I would have to say either your by the book install is wrong, or you have a bad chip..which is not unheard of in the life of Xenium Ice mod chips.
When your machine frags like that, it's an indicator that your D0 is good. At least you know that connection is good.
If all of your lights with the spice adapter are good to go, telling you that you have connection, then I would lean toward a bad chip. Try putting the recovery switch into the recovery position and see if you get a recovery boot. If not, I would try another chip.

Like MG has hit on, check the lights on the SP adapter. The lights should be fully illuminated, not dim. If the lights are dim (it only takes one) then you are not seated in the Via's. _________________ Xbox v1.3
