I recently made the switch to Mandrake, and have have K3b for burning cd's and dvd's.
The question I have is, any specific settings need'd so I am not making coasters???
Any help appreciated.......

I use K3b with SUSE 9.3 and 9.2 and it isn't really all that different when burning DVD's or CD's. I haven't tried useing my linux platform to do any backing up of stuff so I am not sure how all that works. But as far as burning goes K3b's default settings for burning should be fine. _________________ XBOX v1.6

Welp, I tryed it with K3b and made a coaster.....
Didnt change any settings in K3b, if you guys have any suggestions I am open to them.....
I have a Lite-On 451-s, flashed to a 832. Burning DL DVD's works, I have done it several times already, in Windows that is...

Hey Slagathor.... I gave this some thought.... the main reason for this board is for us to help eachother. I have gotten help from reading posts that I never interacted with and it is great. I think if we take mind to what we say we can work this out here and possibley help someone else or even get more/better help from others. If we can't do it on the board then we will pick up via e-mail, I have saved your address. So with that being said lets see what we can do.
My first question would be, when you are trying to make a backup of a game how are you getting the data from your xbox over to the PC? One reason I ask is so that I can do the same here and see what is happening and how to fix it.

I have a 20gig WD HDD used just for Xbox stuff, I ftp it to there from Linux, then I boot to XPee and use CloneXB to make the ISO.
Burning regular single layer ISO's with K3b doesnt present problems, I have burned several, but the couple times I tryed DVD9's I have made coasters.
I want to get away from Windows, but I have not a clue how to make the Xbox ISO's from Linux.....
