First of all, you cannot play without the DVDRom drive unless you have chip. Then, once you have a chip, you need to flash either Xecuter or EvoX (yucky bios) to your chip. Then get XBTool or EVTool (look at the first two letters to see which program goes to which Bios) and use that to make a custom .ini for your console. Once that's done, FTP it over to the xbox's hard drive, and on next boot it will configure the BIOS the way it needs to be, and viola you don't need a DVD drive. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."

Im running no disc drive in my xbox all i did was install a doux2 chip and use the AID 3.10 disc and installed xbmc as main dash and removed the dvd drive and powered up xbox and done no dvd drive or errors. you only get a error if you try to power the xbox up to the microsoft screen with the chi off.

I have the duo x2 mod chip, I still can't get my hands on AID 3.10, I wish I could get it in an E-mail, I used some software to get it but could not ever find it there. So I'm at a stand still. If anybody can specifecally tell me where I can really get it would be cool or maybe I'm not looking in the right direction. thnx
