I have an unmodded XBox v1.6 with some content I download off of XBox Live and some save games I'd like to move over to my modded XBox. The Modded XBox has Evox, FTP client and everything I need (ModGod premod). The XBox I want to copy from hasn't been modded in any way.
I know that if I were to softmod my old XBox this would be very easy. But is there a way to copy my savegames and downloaded content to my modded XBox without modding my old one? _________________ XBOX v1.6

The only way that I know of to transfer any information from one xbox to another when it has not been modded is to use the standard xbox memory module that plugs into the xbox controller. Start the xbox with no disk in and then choose "memory", i think. Then you drill down on the xbox itself, choose the game/data and see if it gives you a copy function not just the delete option. Sometimes you have to not only choose that particular gamesave but you have to go into it's "sub folder" and copy that. Then you take that memory module to the modded xbox in the same way drill down on the controller and copy the gamesaves/data from the chip over to the xbox hard drive.
If you knew all this already I apologize for repeating it.
If this doesn't work I know that we have some really great help here that may have other ideas. But as far as I can tell you can't FTP into an unmodded xbox to extract the data.

Probably not because the content on Xbox Live would be possibly over the size of a normal memory card. I'd say you'd have to softmod it buddy.

Yeah. Guess it's time to learn about softmodding. But will that get me banned from XBox Live? That's the main reason I'm even holding on to my old XBox, because I don't want to lock my hard drive on the modded one and risk screwing it up, but I still want to be able to play XBox Live. _________________ XBOX v1.6

just backup your c: drive first thing. softmod it, grab the files off the freshly modded box by networking them together, then restore the backup of the unmodded C: drive

I've managed to copy all my download
content to another xbox. when i
built it's new hdd after TSOP flashing it and cloning it with
the machine i was coping from, i copyed over my u and t data
completely. If i copy the data
to an un-cloned xbox the downloads
are allways damaged.

you can't harm anything by locking
a hdd, its when you unlock them
on a softmodded xbox that it can end
up becoming a Knightmare.
