ok, i've can't get my chip to network flash. i have a thompson dvd and have never gotten it to read any cdrws (had an alladdin chip installed b4...HATED IT ) so flashing from disk is not an option until next week when i can get a friend to burn one and i want it now!!! i try to network flash the 2.6 and either get "Unknown flash! halting" or it starts to flash and i get "erase failed" THEN it won't boot to bank 1. theres no rhyme or reason to this. i've tried different BIOS' and get the same results. also one time it will tell me "unknown bios" i try the same bios and it just wont erase the chip. yes the write protect is off, it doesn't matter which bank i try to flash to. i'm getting fed up with this please help _________________ XBox 1.1

what size is the bank you are trying to flash and what size is the bios you are using ?
my guess would be you have 2 512kb banks but im not sure ..so check it out and make sure you are using the right bios size,
also you prabably know but the bios should be a .bin not .zip or .rar coouse they usually come compressed so unzip first _________________ Xbox v1.0/1.1/1.5/1.6a

The problem you are having is definitely new to me.
Are you flashing across a wired or wireless network?

wired network. i don't have any other problems on the network, and when i had the aladdin POS i didn't have any problems networking the box (when the aladdin chip would work that is) The problem is deff. the chip though i can connect to the box with no problem and it sees and receives the file, but the the chip screws up. update on previous post, after trying to flash bank 1 the first time, now the box frags when i boot to bank 1 _________________ XBox 1.1

been gone a while...changing DSL providors n been without for a month (shudder)
got a new chip n works fine. we managed to burn both memory banks in the first one and couldn't even flash it with a programmer. new one is good though
