A little history; modded my box with Xecuter3CE (which supposibly supports FTP), and put 3029bios on. Now Im seeing the sreen with:
X3 Config Live
Bios Tools
Disk Tools
EEprom Tools
Settings
Hardware Info
----------------------
Reboot To Dash
Cold Reboot
Power Off
Now from the sounds of it I have to load a dashboard onto it, i got evolutionx form mIRC and extracted with Winrar, have it on my PC desktop.
From the sounds of it FTP is the easiest way to get in on there. Ive read many tutorials on this and cant get it to work.
I need help pretty bad here guys.

Ok.. Ill give you some great tips..
We have our own Auto Installer name 'Auto Installer Deluxe' which allows you to install anything you want from the dvd rom using your xbox joypad.. Its the best way for you to get dashboards, applications or emulators on your xbox especially since you are just starting.. DJB from XBOXHQ wrote the scripts and constantly updates them for everyone so i can guarantee its a must have tool..
Just do a little reading (skimming) of the installation manual im just about to link you to and you will be fine..
HOW TO INSTALL A DASHBOARD:
1. Download the AIDeluxe .iso (.rar) file from the VIP FTP SERVER
Info for the VIP FTP SERVER can be fouind on the official auto installer site in the downloads section.. http://www.aid.xbox-hq.com
You just have to read a topic with the latest password and other information which it will link you too.. Its in the VIP FORUMS as a sticky topic..
2. While downloading the AID go view the manual online or you can download the full pdf manual from our downloads section too and read up.
3. Now just burn the .iso file to a DVD-R or CDRW using Nero or DVDDecrypter etc etc.. You will have to extract the .iso file from inside the .rar/.zip file using WINRAR (http://www.winrar.com)..
4. Boot your xbox with your modchip already flashed and you are ready to go.. The AIDeluxe menu will appear and ask you what you would like to do.. Just choose a option with the xbox joypad and then press the 'X' (green) button. Your away and flyin.
5. Since you want to install a dashboard just choose 'Install Apllications' from the AIDeluxe menu and then choose 'EVOX Dashboard' and install it to which ever drive you bios supports.

I'm new and just checked out the AID package and I'm impressed. It almost takes the fun out of the challenge, lol. I am continually amazed with all you HQ guys' work. Keep it up! (I already had some stuff installed but I am SO glad I decided to d/l it anyway, It went right into the "special disk" box with windows discs and othe OS type discs. _________________ XBOX v1.6:

Hi,
Just download 'Auto-Installer.Deluxe.v1.01.XISO.Xbox-Hq' file to your pC.. Its quite large and will take a little while..
Once you have it just unrar/unzip the .rar file you get on your pc hdd and it will give you a .iso file..
Burn the .iso file to a dvd-r and boot in your xbox with your modchip activated..
So I just got AID copied over to my computer your right it took like 5 hrs to copy. But I think I got the right one, now I just unrar the .rar file that was in the file I copied over and burn it to a DVD-R, Huh? What about .xISO do I have to change it to that format?
Also if I understand you right AID (the file im going to unrar) alreay has a number of dashboards on it? and somewhere along the line Ill be able to choose one?
Finally I have a 200GB HDD I bought off of modchipman.com the description of it is: (The hard drive comes ready with an image of your XBOX on it, just plug and play;Evox dashboard and utilities are not included.)
How should I go about putting that in? I was told that I should just hook it up and then put the AID disk in then fire up my box( that doesnt make since since the HDD has to be hooked up to turn the box on and the box has to be on to open the rom slot)
Id really appreiate it if you could help me out.

hey bud..
ok.. so you have download the rar file.. Good
Now extract it so it gives you a .iso file..
You shouuld have a file like this once extracted:
aid.iso
Just burn this .iso AS IS to a DVD-R or CDRW and boot in your xbox.
Please remember that your modchip must already be flashed with a hacked bios like the EVOX M8 bios before it will boot backups, emulators or autoinstaller discs..

I just have a couple more questions before I attempt tp boot the AID disk in my box
First dashboards are already on the aid.iso file that Im going to boot in my box?
Since I wanna up a larger 200GB HDD in my box how and when do I do that? And yea I have flashed my chip with the 3029bios.

no probs.. Thats why i designed the site.. To help
Anyway, Just get your retail xbox hdd working first..
Then once you have it working you can upgrade the hdd.
EVERYTHING IS ON THE AIDELUXE that you will need.
Once your modchip is flashed with a hacked bios eg. EVOX M8 then you are ready to boot the AIDeluxe.. Boot it and choose what you want to install..
Once your happy that your xbox is working fine all you have to do is remove the old retail xbox hdd and install your new one matching the JUMPER SETTINGS exactly (normally CS (cableselect))..
Then boot the AID and it will detect a new hdd and ask if you want to format.. You do this..
Then go and isntall the M$ Dashboard to c:\ and all other apps to F:\
DONT FORGET TO LOCK YOUR BRAND NEW HDD when your DONE!
Hey Forahobby,
Well Ive gotten to the point where I burn AID to a DVD-R useing DVDDecrypter, now I guess im ready to boot it in my box. So what I think I do is open my dvd drive insert the disk and close it.
Will it boot right away or do I have to shut off my xbox and then turn it back on?

hi mate,
in the VIP DOWNLOADS and NORMAL DOWNLOADS section you will find the Auto Installer Deluxe v1.01 Manual in PDF FORMAT.. Download it and view the full instructions.
Bascially you just have to choose 'Install Dashboards' Then choose where to install it eg.. Normally f:\ and thats about it.. You can choose to install any apps or dashboards, emulators you want.

hi,
Basically this is what you want to do:
1. Buy Modchip (you have done this)
2. Fit Modchip (done)
3. Flash Modchip with a hacked bios so it can boot the AIDELUXE and backup games, emulators etc etc (done)
Since you have booted AID ALREADY THEN THE STEPS ABOVE ARE COMPLETED!! Good
DO THIS FOR A LARGER HDD:
4. Open xbox and remove retail hdd
5. Install new hdd taking note to match all settings with the SMALLER RETAIL XBOX HDD.. (jumper settings are normally CS cable select)
6. Once installed just connect everything back up as normal.
7. Put the AIDeluxe in the XBOX DVDROM drive and boot it.. You may need to turn on and off your xbox a few times to make sure it reads the DVD-R in your XBOX DVDROM drive..
8. It will detect a new hdd and ask if you want to format.. CHOOSE YES!
9. Once formatted the first thing yuo want to install is

How do you change settings on a HDD? When I hook up this new HDD and turn my xbox on all it does is make a zeep zeep noise a few time then give me an error screen, error 9 I think.

Right next the the IDE socket (40 pin) there is a 8 pin socket with a pin bridge, using the diagram that is shown (usually) on top of the HDD label, put the pin bridge in the proper place, being the cable select pins. _________________ XBOX v1.6
