Hi hope someone could help me here. Ive been trying to flash my bios for almost 6 hours and still trying to figure things out.
Here's my set up
a) xbox ver 1.0
b) barracuda 160 gig hdd
c) executer 2.6CE
d) bios: (256)EvoX M7 EjFiX
e) Kernel: 1.00.5101.01
g) my xbox could only read
Drive: c:304480256
e: 5115346944
f: 128150552576
g: 0
I would like to partition my hdd upto g drive and reflash my bios to M8 inorder to read my whole 160gig hdd.
here's what i did:
1) after installing everything (modchip and hdd)
2) run the Auto-Installer Deluxe
3) Formated hdd
4) installed ms dash
5) installed unleashedX dash to drive c:
6) installed evox 3935 dash to drive f
7) using the flashxxp; created bios folder and tried using either of these files M8_LBA48_IGR_C-06.bin, 4981.06_256k.bin, x2_4983.06_256k.bin
even with the supplied flash bios files from the installer for 256k bios
here's what i get;
from the flash bios menu
after clicking on the flash bios
and selecting the file
and pressing the "y" button
After this it just stays like that.. It seems like it doesn't execute the file.
Please i need help.

I had the same problem with my Matrix Solderless..I couldn't get it to flash. I'd get as far as erasing, then it would just sit there (luckily..it didn't even erase)
I moved my chip's switches to off (no write) then back into on (write allowed), and tried again..it worked and I now am running the EvoX M8plus bio.
Not too familair with your chip, so how to do this may be much different, but that's what did it for mine.

Hi thanks for the reply. I've just changed my mod chip to alladin and i still can't flash it to read 132+ hdd.

Winbond is your TSOP brand. The reason you can't flash is because that seems to tell me maybe it's flashing the TSOP. To flash a TSOP certain points of the mobo have to be bridged, which would explain why it's failing.
I could be wrong because I never flashed from AID before or any installer fro that matter.

If you are flashing from a disk, I just recommend creating a bios disk. I never flash from an installer. The AID is awesome for installing every application, emulators, dashboards, and partition/recovery issues. I use it everyday when I configure machines. But when I flash a mod chip, I either flash from a bios DVD that I make or via web browser, but your chip can't be flashed from a web browser.

Hi i've tried doing bios disk (bios.bin and dummy file) my xbox can't recognize the disk...

Are you using a DVD-R?
Are you creating an ISO using Nero6 Burnign rom. You cannot just burn it as a data disk.

You have a xbox V1.0 like I do, which means you probably have a Thompson Drive. If it's not reading the disc try burning the bios on Sony DVD-R. Thats what works for me. _________________

Hey all i am having the same issue. i have a version 1.4 xbox with the 5101 kernal. i have a winbond w49f020 TSOP and it gets to the erasing screen then just stops. trying to flash with the m8+.bin bios 256k. the evox dash is still working the temp changes on the dash and the evox logo spins in the background but no erasing of the bios nor writing to it. this is my seccond xbox to mod by just connecting solder points on the board and i am stumpped. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
