I'm terribly sorry if this "issue" has been addressed before, but please stay with me as I am in dire need of assistance!
I tried softmodding my XboX with the 'hotswapping' technique with xboxhdm and UDE (version2?). Well, I first turned on the XboX with the harddrive installed, and it came up to the dasboard. I then booted the PC with the xboxhdm .ISO. (As the tutorial reads). I swapped IDE cables from the XboX harddrive to the PC IDE cable. (All the while having the XboX harddrive set as "Cable select" and my Windows harddrive (Master) unplugged from the IDE cable). I then followed the onscreen instructions, and when it was trying to create a backup of the XboX harddrive, it said something to the effect of an "input/output-error" or something. I then had all kinds of problems one being that the error screen now comes up on the XboX dashboard. (Probably because xboxhdm reported a DIFFERENT hash now located on the drive?) My question is, do I need a second harddrive there as a slave or something to backup the XboX harddrive? I have two extra harddrives, so is that what I need to do? Maybe I missed something in the tutorial?
Any help is appreciated, thanks!
