well i desoldered the resoldered and now i get the 256k purple color. both the blue lights on the chip itself are blue and then the green or red of course. and besides that my av doesnt work i cant get a picture on my tv. i keep messing with and will probably get it but some help would be appreciative

That's all the help I could offer, I don't know the points to check about the AV. Check and make sure something didn't short or pull apart at the av plug area I suppose. I don't know what would make it boot to backup like that. Remember if you have an emergency you can fill out a VIp help ticket provided you have or get a membership. Well worth the help.
