I am using the X3 build 3029 and when i try to put in a new hd it will partition and format but when its all done it freezes. Can someone help me with this.
New hd is a maxtor 160gb.

Have you just tried formatting with an installer instead?

i got the crappy thomson drive and can't get any discs to boot with it so no.
Thanks for your help, honestly i bet i could figure most the stuff out on my own but since this is the first time im very afraid and you guys are such a big help.

when i try to boot up the drive it gives an error 6. Which is that the box could not unlock the drive correct.
If i unlock it then lock it again with the eeprom key should this fix my whole problem.
If so whats the easiest way?
