i'm looking at a new maxtor 160gb hard drive on ebay, it has 7200rpm, and 8meg cache, and other stuff, it is eide, is that compatable with my xbox? i want to upgrade but i am a n00b at all this modding stuff so let me know you experts out there. thanks alot guys for your help so far with my other questions.

check that out. it tells you if the hard drive is compatible or not.if its not on there, try to install it and see what happens. then post it up in the hdd database.
