Guys I'm Kinda fucked in the ass right now. I went to a friend of mine with my xbox, played some games there and watched a movie, put my xbox back in the bag, went back home by car, connected my xbox to the tv and power supplier, wanted to boot it and it gave me a red light on the chip panel and the xbox led!

It said error 5 which means afaik that something is wrong with my Hard Drive.... Got a shitload of stuff on the hard drive. Could it be that a wire just got loose from the Hard disk? The xbox was working fine before I went there and when I was at my friends place, kinda odd.

Can somebody help me because I miss my xbox Crying or Very sad

Btw....Right forum? Else please move it to another one but I didn't saw a topic that was related to my issue.

Regards,

Roy

error 5 - kernel - HDD not locked (retail bioses require the hd to be locked)

maybe your modchip got bumped and beame unaligned or one of the wires for the chip came loose.

Yeh I would say your Do or BT (if you have one) has come loose and will need re-soldering

What mod chip do you have right now?

Are you saying that when you boot the machine with the mod chip enabled, then you are getting error code 05?? That means your chip isn't working. I would have to agree and say it's the D0 popping loose.

Now that you know what the problem is, let me explain why this is happening.

Basically, what is happening is your chip is getting power, but since the D0 is severed your Xbox doesn't boot to the LPC area (where your chip is attached) and then your machine just tries to boot up normally instead. And, since your hard drive is unlocked the MS bios gives you the 05 error code. The D0 is an integral part of a mod. Without the D0 to signal the mobo to boot the chip, your Xbox just boots like any old Xbox does.

This is an easy solution.

Do you have a solderless chip perhaps? Typically, that's a downfall of moving around a solderless chipped machine. This is no biggie, you should be up and running in fifteen minutes flat.

I'm using an Xecuter 2.3 lite afaik. It could be that the Do wire popped loose so I will look at it this week.

And yes, I boot the xbox, than the chip panel shows a red light and my xbox's led is red and than it says that it has an error 5 (On the TV).

I hope it's the Do wire, couldn't think of anything else at the moment. I just ook it to a friend of mine, played a game and watched a movie and got it back home.

Thnx for all the help btw!
