I installed a Super Aladdin live chip step by step with the instructions... at first, it would turn off and on a couple times when I tried to boot witht he chip, then turn off...and turn on normally (no chip)... then I wired the BT to a ground and now it turns off and on...then flashes red and green continuously, and will not work... if anyone could give me ANY help.. I'd appreciate it... I really know nothing else to do... I've tried BOTH D0 points and I just can't get it to work.

Hiya

Check all of your solder points, thats all it will be down to, what version xbox is it?

Will it still boot as normal with the modchip removed? if your getting a frag and you have not damaged it then chances are it's an lpc problem esspecially if it reboots 3 times

it's a v1.5 XBOX...and with the chip removed, and even with it in (as long as I don't have it "always on" it'll boot normally...but it won't boot with the chip. I'm in the process of finding a new header, just to see if I can change it and see if that's the problem... I've double and triple checked my connections, they all seem ok...and have tried BOTH D0 points, and I just cannot get the xbox to boot with the chip...

The 1.5 Xbox is quite rare. I don't install aladdin chips, but most chips have an extra two to three wires that need installed on 1.5 version Xbox's.

Did you attend to those wires?

I searched to find out what version XBOX I have, and according to a site I found... they said if your system informatoion had "this number - this number" in between those... you have a version 1.5....in every version of a diagram for the "Super Aladdin Live" (not the XT or 64) it said nothing about extra wires for the 1.5... but if any of you have seen another diagram that does indeed say this... I would please like to see it...Also, if the chipped was hooked up wrong once, could I have blown it, and it be no more good?

Thanks-

Hiya

There is only one way to be sure if it is a 1.5 or not and that is to physically test it.

test pin 2 on the pinheader with a multimeter to see if it grounded or not.

If it isn't then you have a 1.5 and you must do the rebuild which requires 2 wires being installed.

Check out the aladdin diagrams on my site and there is one esspecially for the 1.5.

Aladdins are meant to be rare but I have done seen more 1.5's than 1.4's so I guess they are more popular in some places than others.

Not doing the rebuild will not cause any damage, it just means the chip is not getting it's 3.3v feed

Regards

DJH
