Thank-you for the help and comments!!..Just a little more info....I have a ver 1.4.......No mods.....Yes I opened it and attempted to to install a 2.6 lite...I decided to punt and will send this to somebody else to Mod for me....When I turn it on..It restarts 3 times and then red and green flash....The only way to open the dvd is to shut it off and resart..pushing the open tray button a few times while it trying to boot and (sometimes the tray will oopen).....There is absolutely nothing on the tv screen...(the cord is ok..I checked it out on my other xbox)....The screen is blank..nothing...nada........Thanks for your help Mod-God...I wanted to give a little more info re: this fopa... ..Signed...Jeff...emabarassed in Iowa.....lol _________________ ver 1.0 no mods......ver1.4 no mods......Both will be moded soon!!!!!!

Yeah, you definitely did something to the mobo. Most likely, what I see with that chip is the D0 area gets scratched. I'm not sure if that was your case, but even some traces near the LPC could have gotten scratched too.
Does this chip have two sharp pins for the D0 area so it can be used for both designs of mobo's?
I remember the 2.3 chips did and some people would not put a piece of electrical tape over the one pin. And, when they were trying to get the correct pogo pin to seat into the D0 hole they would scratch the hell out of the traces with the other pin.
Either way, I'd be more than happy to help you out. If I can save the mobo that would save you some loot.
