Oh I am very embarassed!!!!!!!...I was attempting to install a 2.6 lite (pin install) and also a 160gb hard drive on my 1.4 xbox....Whoops...It appears my soldering skills stink and my understanding of the xbox is just as bad..........I would like to fix my xbox..(red and green flash)..no picture...turns off and on 3 times.................And do a softmod.....and then install my 160 gb wd hard drive..I purchased my chip and hard (its supposed to have evox on it..........Sorry for all of the questions.......HELP>>>>>>

Hiya
You have any High red close up pics?
if it reboots 3 times then it's likley you have damaged the LPC, if you were doing an LPC rebuild on a 1,6 however this may not be true.
Let us know where on the mobo the damage is, as ur gonna prob have to fix it before you can softmod it. Will it boot without the chip?

If you remove the chip or even just sever the D0 connection and it still does the rebooting and fragging, then you definitely damaged the motherboard.
If it boots up fine to the MS dash when you remove the D0 connection and /or chip then it's just your solder job or a bad chip.
Let me know what you get after you remove the chip
