Hey all, I have five Thompson Drives sitting here that I would like to get rid of.
I know that two of them for sure had DDE issues. I never tried cleaning the laser, so who knows.
They were taken out of customers machines who claimed they had issues. I never tested them.
I have two others that I am unsure of. I know one though, for a fact was in my daughters machine before I put in a Sammy. Personally, I never got a DDE with it but man that has been so long ago.
For someone who likes tinkering with the drives, tweaking laser voltages and/or replacing lasers here's a deal for you!
I'll sell all five for $65.00 shipped to anywhere in the US. I know for a fact that they all power on fine, eject fine, and spin fine. That I know for sure. But, that is all I can offer as far as info on the drives.
