softmod deluxe 2 was working great i've modded only 8 xboxs but this is the time this has happend .the softmod works fine its just that i need help with the installer my friends xbox will not install the soft mod it was working I THINK THE XBOX LIVE HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THIS MISHAP when i switch back to the ms dash the updat was running for some reason I wasn't even connected at the time I went a head and connected to get it over with after this it updated and i went on my business next thing i know i tryed to reinstall the softmod and the problem occured (IBACKED UP THE MS DASH BUT NOT THE SOFTMOD CAN SOME ONE HELP

I am also quite new to this but I assume m$ are on to this soft mod so have updated the dash via live to stop it if this is so the best bet is try to boot ur game of choice from straight boot be it splinter cell or whatever and try to recover ur backed up m$ assuming u did back it up then reinstall the softmod and if u go back on live do this everytime b4 u reinstall ur softmod

I have gotten similar errors each time I have tried to do the
softmod using either SID 1.0, 1.01, or, 2.0. I did get one to
work, but, that one got stolen along with my car. Got the car
back, but, xbox was gone. I can boot up, and, ftp, so, if I
know which files go where, I can copy them over. Learned the
importance of the C: backup. Embarassed
Which .ini or, .cfg files would I look at to discover where to
manually copy the files?
