Ok, I plan on softmodding my cousins xbox
and I was wondering
can I do the softmod without the softmod installation?
Just install Evox?
Because he has a kid and I dont want the kid to turn on the xbox and leave the drive open, going to the softmod installation and screwing everything up.... _________________

Right now, the only way to do this, is to edit the bioses that launch when open/closed. There's a bit of talk in the official help topic, basically copy the closed.bin and rename it open.bin and then reupload it. _________________

but say for example, the dash updates and messes everything up, how do i get back into the installation, thru the game, then load file or am I screwed
btw, will it load original games after it's messed up? _________________

I think you should be able to load the softmod installation screen (again) just through the game....
And ofcourse it will still play originals
good luck; BTW version 2.0 is released. Fixes some problems with Action Replay saves

one last question, just to kinda stay dummy proof
if it tries to update the dash (in the future)
and I changed the open/closed.bin
will it be booting MS Dash or some error screen?
And I will be able to reload everything back right? _________________
