You only need to use SID if you plan to softmod your Xbox, if you have a modchip there's no need for it.

i use SID but i whantto install avaluanch for dashboard so how can do that
what do i need to do can i use SID to load AID and then install avaluanch
better can i format my c drive nad install avaluanch and the MS dash so i can have avaluanch as a adasboard. help me plz.

If you use SID 3 (which comes bundled with AID 2) SID 3 deletes everything off your C Drive to perform the softmod. Then, inside AID 2 you go to the Softmod Section then install your choice of the NKpatcker or PBL softmod (I recommend NKpatcher). After that (in the same section) you should see your Install Dashboards option, where you can proceed to load on Avalaunch or your desired dashboard.

I was wondering if you could manually delete everything on your c drive like with a ftp file server. I have kind of screwed my xbox c drive up and now it won't boot normally so I can't install sid 3.

The only way you'd be able to use FTP is if you booted up SID 3 with your original game, and ofcourse SID 3 has to be copied to the gamesave section in your HDD for this to work.
