I recently soft-modded my xbox and have avalaunch running on it. Whenever i try playing halo 2 in multiplayer mode, i end up getting it in widescreen. I do not want that as i do not have a widescreen tv. I tried changing the settings in the avalaunch settings menu but it wont save the setting as it says EEPROM/Hard drive is locked? what do i do to change this setting? any suggestions? any tutorials?

is it set to widescreen under the M$ dash settings? that could be it. there wasn't a setting IN Halo is there?

this could be changed under the original MS dasboard settings.
Can you still boot that? If so change your video settings there...
Unlocking your harddrive with ConfigMagic could also help, but I'm not familiar with avalaunch, so I don't know if changing your settings there, solves the problem...
And maybe HALO2 has an option for it also????
