hey fellas I just bought a clear crystal case and was wondering if someone could be so kind to direct me to good place with a step by step. Ohh the case does not have the bottom portion because it covers it completely. Also, I bought a new jewel for the top and was wondering how to add a light to the jewel. I've taken the case out before but not the front bezel & dvd tray bezel. I just don't want to break the front bezel from pushing and pulling to hard. I've posted all you need in our case modding forum. You just have to go to a couple of posts to get enough info to get it done. If you dont feel like fishing, then let me know and I'll take some pics and post a new one for you
One tutorial I posted was on how to get the eject/power PCB out of the machine so you can change the LED colors. That will show you how to get the front of the case off. It's very easy.
The other tutorial shows how to put a lighted jewel Ring on the case top and drill a hole for a clear jewel. In your case, you can either just place a clear jewel on top of the casing, or go ahead and cut the hole. I suggest a jewel ring. The modding shop that is sponsoring our contest this month sells a 12LED Jewel Ring, he is in the UK. I am in the US and I sell a 10 LED Jewel Ring that quite a few people here have purchased so you can ask a few if they like it. It already has the connectors and adhesive. Also, I can make it with the LEDs pointing outward so that it lights up more area under the clear case. A lot of people with clear cases go for the outward pointing, but up to you. If you point the LEDs inward, it will only light up the very center where the jewel is. Here is a pic of a clear case xbox I just sold today:

Yeah, the HQ box was sold off of my website. I actually forgot it was listed...lol.
I already took out the mobo/hd/ps and put in my green/silver themodgod box so I could put white leds in the ports and eject board.
I got a phone call from a guy in Indiana that fried four xboxs. God bless him, he's 50 years old and his grand kids wanted to play on a modded Xbox so he went and bought four machines and four HDs. Toasted them all.
So he's buying this one and sending me the others for me to take a look at. I think he only fried one of them actually, the others just sound like he got the HDs maybe mixed up, or something because he's getting service errors not black screen frags.
