ok...so i backed up a game using simplexiso and burned the iso with nero. I backed it up on TDK DVD-R. I burned the dvd at 2x. When I put the game in my xbox and use pxhddloader it checks the disk out and when it comes up with the copy screen it says its 0.000 gigs. I also tried using complex tools but that just tells me to insert an xbox disk. My xbox is reckgonizing that it is a xbox game disk i think, but thats about all its seeing. Does anyone know what im doing wrong????? ive been messing around with it all day.

is it an xiso? or did you make a xiso?
if not here is a link to a great tool for creating and extracting xiso:
yah...my xbox is modded...i have an x2 chip...and i did create an xiso with simplexsio. i also used another program, but i dont remember what it was called...it wouldnt be a big deal, but i am having major problems with ftp...it starts out going at about 200kbps, then just goes straight down until its at 0.00kbps...im freaking out here....i wanna play my backup games....

what exactly are you trying to do? if you burned the ISO to a disk, the disk should just load liek a normal game. you shouldn't have to load it in any special program.what are you trying to ftp? if you have the ISO on your pc and want to load it onto the hdd you need to extract the files out of the ISO. i use Qwix as its quite easy to use.

i was trying to ftp the game to my hdd, but it wasnt working, so i tried to burn the iso. the iso burned fine, but it wont read as a game in the xbox. ive gone through 7 dvd-rs using different programs and different ways to do it. it reads it, but not as a game i guess

Your ftp doesn't "slowly drop down" it simply disconnects itself and the ftp programs just divides the KB's downloaded by the time elapsed till it reaches 0. You might want to check the passive connection settings on your ftp program. Also if you are connecting through a switch make sure it's not acting up...where I live, the voltage drops alot and sometimes my switch disconnects for no reason...might not be your case, but it happened to me.
Now, the X-image that simpleXiso makes is pretty much what you need. But anyways just in case...find ZXBTools from the "usual places" or anywhere else and make sure the game you are trying to copy does not contain new media checks which you need to patch (.xbe files) ZXBTools does this... I'm not sure if simpleXISO does it but anyways it's worth a try.
If everything fails and your disc is a no-go... simply burn it to a DVD+R. My XBoxes really seem to hate dvd-r, don't ask mne why.
just my 2 cents.
