Is there a program for the xbox that allows you to put a DVD movie in and RIP it down to a .avi file or some other similar extention then copy it to the HD? I only wonder because that would be REAL NICE. _________________ XBOX v1.1:

On the PC there is.
I use SuperDVD to AVI Ripper 4.0
I am sure there is a newer version.
Basically, I put the DVD into my burner/reader on my PC. Open the software, select the .ifo file and press convert.
This program does the rest!
I can take a 6GB DVD and rip/convert to a 500-600MB AVI file. Then I just FTP to my Xbox into my Movies folder and watch it with XBMC _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter

i very recently discovered how to stream movies off my pc with XBMC instead of FTPing them over to the xbox. very convienent
