while using my xecuter3 box the other day i tried to sign on yo xbox live with the chip turned off. it worked fine for about two days then i tryed playing online and it said my box had been modded. i swithch out my new hd for my old one and now it just said i cant log on xbox live. did the hd switch let ms know i was modded?????? and how can i fix my xbox now?

Yes, the HD switch is what got you in the jackpot with MS. They keep track of serial numbers.
Your only solution is to get a new machine for XBL, or, Play on Xbox Connect or Kai, or buy a new eeprom and do an eeprom swap.
I am not real up to date on doing the eeprom thing, but I am sure others around here can help you out with that. Also, make sure when you are not playing on XBL that you remove the network cable just to make sure one of your games that autolog into XBL doesn't get you banned again.
