hmm, first of all I would use the 4983.06 bios as it is more upto date, make sure it has the LBA48 hack, format your F; drive once you have done this too.

shouldn't you have a G: drive after 120 gigs? or doesn't it really matter?

no cos he has a .06 bios so it would all go to F, I hate G drives, i dunno why, i just like it all in one place.

Why have G & F when you can just have F?

Unless you want native linux theres no point

yea i added a 200 gig to my computer and was gonna partition it in half and was like....why? the only reason would be if you need to format a drive you would only lose the info on that part and not the entire drive. but i don't run my OS on that hdd at all so... 1 big 200 gig drive for movies Smile

i have a 120 gig hdd in my xbox and it only shows as 4 something gigs on e and 108 on f. its kinda normal to be short changed and the bigger the hdd the more you miss ( something to do with how retailers define a gig and how a computer defines a gig) read up on it here
but i'm not sure why the different programs are reporting different sizes....

its about a 5 gig loss on a 80 gig hdd so 5/80=.0625 .0625*250=15.625 gigs lost

They probably tell you how many GB you have, where evox tells you how many billion bytes you have, thus being the true marketing gigs.

If evox says you have 242,000,000,000 bytes, that means you have about 226 actual GB to use, and a program such as dvd2xbox would show this number instead of the bytes or kilobytes or whatever.
