I modded 1.6xbox with x2.6lite with 1mb bios consisting of 2x256k flashbios 3.0.1 and 2x256k m8+ 1.6 137gig+ and all went well.
During games transfer from PC to Xbox, 70/100 gig was transferred then xbox auto shutdown. Turn it back on and continue transfer and it shutdown again after a couple of minutes.
Tried to turn on xbox using power button but nothing responded. I Used the DVD eject button and it did 3 boot attempt then frag. Nothing on screen.
Turn off mod chip and same thing happened.
Any help or link to help will be appreciated.

You may have a faulty chip, xbox or a bad solder joint that stops working once it gets heated up a bit.
I would check the solder points first tho

If bad install, disabling chip should start xbox or not? I will check solder to make sure, or do you think i should uninstall chip to make sure it is not the xbox mobo problem?

A bad install can also stop it working in non-chipped mode, esspecially if you have some solder points bridged etc.
Yes you could remove the chip and see if it boots

This almost sounds like a bad solder point. on the pin header or harness and then when it heats us it shuts down.. Also check and make sure all your solder points have either tape or some other insulation between them and the metal case if on the bottom of the mother board.. _________________ GTGene

Ok i did all the solder point again with no luck so i painfully took out the chip. Clean up all solder and the xbox is fine.
I now must go back i put the chip in correctly i guess.

Be sure to use Flashbios 3.03 with the 1.6 version Xbox. Like the 1957 bios the 3.01 flashbios does NOT work with the Xecuter Chips. With the 1.6 version box use the Flashbios 3.03 and the M8+ 16 bios. _________________ GTGene

Well, it was a bad solder on previous install. I ran machine without chip and it works perfec tly with no sign of any mobo malfunction and reinstall chip again and all seems to work fine too. Machine has been running smoothly for days now. Thanx for all the help.
