I recently modified a version 1.4 xbox with a 2.6 xecuter chip.
I installed 4983.06 Bios for cromwell flash bios.
Created a Format disc and formatted a 250 gig hd
The format went ok. I see that drive F (6) has 241 gig.
I started transferring files via Flashfxp. When I get to a file that is larger than 10 MB or so Flash seems to hang. While transferring files that are small the transfer is fine.
I have searched through the forum and am exhausted from reading. I have tried changing the Patch cable from my router to the xbox and have the same problem. I have a Dlink DI-514 wireless router with a patch cable hooked to the xbox. My PC is 2.53 ghz processor, running XP Home with SP2. The HD that I installed is a WD250. Ive heard that WD is not that good of a drive, but I got a good price on it. Xbox has Evox dash board 3935.

What dashboard you using on your Xbox?
I know the problem you're talking about as I get it sometimes myself.
What I found is by using UnleashX as a dashboard it seems to be a lot more reliable. Ever since putting this on and getting my new PC (P4 3ghz with Gigabit onboard LAN) I'm getting around 10-11mb/sec.

Im not familiar with Unleashx. Do I just replace the existing dash.xbe or do I have to do more. I suppose I would have to change the ini file as well. Thank you for the advice. _________________ I do everything twice (at least)

I clicked on that link that you had in you reply and I tried to d/l the autoinstaller. It d/l'd it straight to my screen. Then I right clicked it and did a save as. While it was on the screen I noticed that at the begining it mentioned a tracker pgm. Are you sure theres no virus or mole or trojan in that? Im a little leary with all the f&^#ing viruses and stuff floating around. _________________ I do everything twice (at least)
