Hi,
Boy! Am I new at this xbox thing!?!?
My xbox is the standard run of a mill xbox, I ever only used it to play games. I never ever changed a thing about it.
AT the moment it has a continuous flashing red light. I am not seeing anything on the screen. After research I have accepted that I have a eeprom problem. I have a corrupt/bad eeprom.
All the sites I have read telling me how to fix my eeprom if (not me) I have evon X and mod chip etc. I have a laptop with a network card and crossover cables, flash FTP etc. I do not have an xbox that is modified so I am finding it differcult to fix my problem.
Can any body help me to fix my problem? Thanks in advance.

I dont have any modchip , Its the same V 1.1 as I got it new over a year ago.

you could go to Wal-Mart and try and get them to exchange it. i exchanged mine twice there with no reciept before i modded mine.

you can't FTP or try anything without modding the xbox in some way, ie modchip, TSOP flash, or a softmod. and with your xbox seemingly dead the latter 2 are out of the picture as you need to load a game to do them. so you are left with getting a modchip and trying to fix it that way, sending it in for repairs, or trying to exchange it
